AOL Product Central: A Seamless Experience

In early 2007 ARPU launched a fully integrated, white-labeled subscription store for AOL, called AOL Product Central. Through Product Central AOL members can buy products advertised anywhere on AOL with one click using the payment information they have on file with AOL. From a customer perspective the entire experience is AOL branded. ARPU manages all aspects of Product Central for AOL, including: optimizing conversion, introducing new offers, managing AOL-branded customer support, and customer billing.

Time Inc. Publications: Point-of-Sale Purchasing

Leveraging the concept of a 'supermarket-line impulse buy', ARPU cross-sells targeted products and services at the point-of-sale, augmenting the publisher's per-sale revenue. Cross-sell offers span a variety of Time Inc titles, sold through partnership with ValueMags, and online services. ARPU's Purchased-Enable cross-sell technique generates a 25% conversion rate—ranging from 10% for niche offers to more than 35% for ubiquitous products and services.

Raxco: Supercharging Conversion for Lesser-known Brands

ARPU's Purchase-Enabled Advertising has demonstrated success for services with limited brand awareness, like PC defragmentation service, PerfectDisk Live, developed by Raxco Software. ARPU has successfully sold PerfectDisk Live across its network of publishers—and in just 4 months, ARPU grew sales of the defrag service by over 600% and experienced conversion rates 5 times higher than the average rate previously realized.

McAfee: Maximizing Profitability

McAfee partnered with ARPU in September 2007 with the goal of increasing their profitability by selling additional products to their customers. Now, whenever a McAfee customer completes a purchase on McAfee.com, an ad will appear for a related product or service. Interested customers can choose to subscribe to the product or service using the billing method just entered in their recent McAfee.com purchase. This convenience to the customer streamlines the purchase flow and increases the overall conversion rate.

Gamefly: Relevant Promotion for Niche Services

With contextually relevant and targeted inventory ARPU is armed to increase conversion for specialty and niche products as well as broad-based products. For GameFly, a leading online video game rental store, ARPU has generated new customers from purchase enabled ads displayed on games-related inventory.
